Zomboat!

We might be hitting our quota in the zombie realm, you guys. Zombies have pretty much been everywhere and done everything, while moving at all kinds of speeds and existing within their own respective set of rules in many interpretations. Zomboat! is the latest out of the zombie camp and the results look silly but entertaining nonetheless.

The synopsis of Zomboat! breaks down like this:

A Zombie apocalypse is unleashed in Birmingham and sisters Kat and Jo, together with unlikely travel companions Sunny and Amar must flee for their lives…by canal boat.

The horror/comedy is having a complete laugh and isn’t afraid to show it. The trailer ends with the canal boat barely able to move faster than the already slow moving zombies. It isn’t your typical getaway vehicle but I suppose zombie apocalypse survivors can’t be choosers.

In all honesty, when I saw the name of the series, I was kinda hoping the film was going to be about a boat that became a zombie. But alas, its about survivors using it as an escape vehicle.

Zomboat! is directed by William Hartley and Adam Miller. It stars Leah Brotherhead, Hamza Jeetooa and Ryan McKen.

The six-part series drops onto Hulu on Oct. 25.
