It’s been a decade since Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson), Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg), Wichita (Emma Stone), and Little Rock (Abigail Breslin) last graced the big screen in a quest for survival and Twinkies in the midst of the zombie apocalypse, but the whole crew is back and, if possible, even more dysfunctional than ever in the trailer for Zombieland: Double Tap.
As the trailer opens, we find the crew working their way through a field of zombies as they head for their new digs aka the White House. After ten years, the makeshift family has been through a lot and they’ve found a balance of sorts that had only just begun to develop by the end of the first film.
It’s not only the family dynamic that’s evolved here, however.
Director Ruben Fleischer was quoted by Entertainment Weekly saying, “In the 10 years since the first movie, zombies have evolved into different types of zombies. The one that’s causing the big threat are the T-800 zombies, that are stronger, faster, harder to kill.”
From the looks of the trailer, they turned this sequel up to 11, and we are here for every minute of it right up to and including Luke Wilson doing his best Woody Harrelson impression.
Check out the trailer and mark your calendars. Zombieland: Double Tap will hit theaters October 18, 2019!
