If you’ve been to a horror convention in the last few years you’ve surely noticed that The Walking Dead has almost completely taken over the scene, so much so that the show spawned an entire convention of its own. Now the folks behind that con are setting sail with an official Walking Dead cruise.
Yes. A Walking Dead cruise. Read on for all the gory details.
From January 15th – 18th of next year, the Norwegian Pearl from Miami to the Bahamas is getting overrun by zombies, and rechristened the Walker Stalker Cruise. For three days, the cruise line will essentially become a traveling horror convention, specifically geared towards lovers of all things undead.
A partnership between Norwegian Cruise Line, Sixthman and Walker Stalker Con, the one-weekend-only Walker Stalker Cruise includes all sorts of fun activities built into the ticket price, such as concerts, Q&A panels, games, zombie makeup sessions and a whole lot more.
And it’s not just fans who will be aboard the Walker Stalker Cruise, as several Walking Dead stars are set to take the trip. Norman Reedus, Chandler Riggs, Emily Kinney, Sonequa Martin-Green, Chad L. Coleman, Christian Serratos, Lawrence Gilliard Jr. and Ross Marquand are already confirmed, with more to be announced.
The Walker Stalker Cruise is now accepting pre-sale bookings, and there’s enough capacity for an estimated 2,000 fans. The first 1,000 to sign up will receive a limited edition lithograph signed by Norman Reedus, and double occupancy starts at $750.
