Hulu’s Into the Dark is set to drop its Valentine’s Day episode on Feb. 7. This particular entry is set to the tune of Sinister and Doctor Strange’s director Scott Derrickson, who is onboard as executive producer.

The episode simply titled, My Valentine circles around:

‘A pop singer whose songs and artistic identity have been stolen by her ex-boyfriend/manager and shamelessly pasted onto his new girlfriend/protégé. Locked together in a small concert venue after hours, the three of them confront the emotional abuses of the past… until things turn violent.’

Sound interesting. More so due to the involvement of Derrickson.

I know that the title of ‘executive producer’ can mean a lot of things. In some cases the EP is on set helping to make decisions and doing the dark lords work, and in some cases (won’t mention names) an EP never set foot anywhere near the production and are added to the credits simply to attract people to the title… and to get paid.

Derrickson is an interesting breed of filmmaker and fits well into the “one of us” category. I truly believe that we will see some unique fingerprints of his on this production.

What do you guys think? Excited for more Valentine’s Day horror? Excited to see Derrickson onboard? Let us know in the comments section.
