Netflix has renewed its crime-drama series Ozark for a fourth and final season according to Deadline. The expanded season will feature 14 episodes split into two seven-episode parts.

In the series, Marty Byrde (Jason Bateman), a financial advisor-turned-money launderer for a Mexican drug cartel, moves to the Lake of the Ozarks to make good for the cartel. Laura Linney (The Exorcism of Emily Rose) plays his wife, Wendy, who has worked her way into her own criminal enterprises throughout the series.

The Netflix series has garnered its own faithful audience throughout its run who will no doubt be interested in seeing just how the Byrde family’s story comes to an end.

“We’re so happy Netflix recognized the importance of giving Ozark more time to end the Byrdes’ saga right,” showrunner Chris Mundy said. “It’s been such a great adventure for all of us — both on screen and off — so we’re thrilled to get the chance to bring it home in the most fulfilling way possible.”

Bateman, who has also served as a director on the show, said that he’s looking forward to the series going out with a bang.

Ozark has garnered multiple Emmy, Golden Globe, and Screen Actors Guild nominations and awards in the previous seasons.
