The Spooky Empire Film Festival is gearing up to bring in the clowns at this year’s event, specifically Bill Moseley’s Crepitus, a flesh-eating monster who wreaks havoc on a family of displaced women.
The film made our news feed this past April after posters for this indie film were on rotation in New York’s Times Square. And if that weren’t enough, a special blood-red beer was crafted by Mackinaw Trial brewmaster, Theodore Monroe in anticipation of its final stages of post-production.
Here is the official synopsis followed by our exclusive festival trailer:
Seventeen-year-old Elizabeth and her younger sister Sam are thrust into circumstances more terrifying than life with their abusive, drunken mother when they are forced to move into their deceased Grandfather’s house. Frightened beyond belief, they learn horrible things about their family history. Nevermind the ghosts in the house, there is something far worse that takes an interest in them … a cannibalistic clown named Crepitus.
Starring Bill Moseley, Crepitus will be making its world premiere at Spooky Empire Film Festival on October 26 in Orlando, FL.
Crepitus also stars: Chalet Lizette Brannan, Eve Mauro, Caitlin Williams, Lance Paul. It’s directed by Haynze Whitmore from a script by Eddie Renner.
