Season 2 of You is here to creep fans the hell out all over again. That’s right, charming creeper Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) is back to stalk some new unfortunate soul.
The first season of You followed a bookstore manager who would manipulate his way into women’s lives and then take complete ownership, gaslighting and murdering his way into their hearts.
The whole thing balanced a strange line of making you side with Joe due to the fact that the show centered on him. Similar to Norman Bates from Psycho, the audience was experiencing the entire season primarily through Joe’s eyes and through his voice over.
It brought back a very 90’s approach to thriller/horror that brings to mind The Hand That Rocked The Cradle, The Crush, Poison Ivy, etc…
Now Joe is back… if that is his real name. The trailer once again looks to be centered around him and his sociopathic exploits.
Meet Will Bettelheim. He’s not your regular Joe. He’s new to LA and has sworn off love. But love, like murder, has a way of tracking you down.
Were you guys fans of the first season? Did you side with Joe at certain times? Let us know in the comments section.
The new season drops on Netflix beginning Dec. 26.
