The 2020 Women in Horror Film Festival is almost here and the stars are headed to Georgia to help celebrate.
Both Heather Langenkamp and Amanda Wyss, the stars of the first A Nightmare on Elm Street, will be in attendance throughout the weekend, and Langenkamp will showcase her directorial debut Washed Away.
Authors Meg Hafdahl & Kelly Florence will also be in attendance signing their new book The Science of Women in Horror, which offers a deep dive into feminist horror movies, TV shows, and characters spotlighting archetypes beyond the final girl.
Festival co-founder and author Samantha Kolesnik will also be in attendance signing copies of True Crime, her impressive debut novella that is as harrowing as it is compelling.
Festival director Vanessa Wright and her panel of judges have curated an incredible lineup of films for the 2020 festival including 85 short films from around the world and four feature-length films including the world premiere of Black Lake.
The Women in Horror Film Festival will take place at the historic Strand Theatre in Marietta, Georgia on February 27-29, 2020.
Tickets are on sale, now, and can be purchased online. The Hilton Atlanta/Marietta Hotel and Conference center is the official hotel of the festival and is offering discounted room rates for those in attendance by clicking here.
