Personally, gaming doesn’t get better than THE WITCHER series. THE WITCHER III: WILD HUNT etched itself a special place in gamers hearts with its attention to detail in every aspect of itself, from sound design to side quests nothing was spared in its importance. Added to that the books that inspired the games were a legendary saga that are among many a list for best fantasy novels.  Now it looks like Geralt of Rivia is headed to Netflix for a series.

A press release from Platige announced that Polish Author Andrrzej Sapkowski’s Franchise is to be brought to life as an English language drama series.

Netflix will focus on Sapkowski’s eight novel saga that focus on the story of hunters who develop badass supernatural abilities at a young age to make a living out of killing the hell out of monsters.

Sapkowski stated, “I’m thrilled that Netflix will be doing an adaptation of my stories, staying true to the source material and the themes that I have spent over thirty years writing, I’m excited about our efforts together, as well as the team assembled to shepherd these characters to life.”

The series is in good hands considering Sapkowski will act as creative consultant on the series.

First we get the news that Netflix is working on a CASTLEVANIA series and now this. With the high quality stuff they have been churning out this is some of the best news I have heard this year. Now excuse me, I have to go re-read the novels as a refresher.
