What do you think about ‘Texas Chainsaw 3D’ Producers Remaking Romero’s ‘Day of the Dead’

Part of me is excited about seeing Day of the Dead back on the big screen, however, another part of me is grimacing from the inevitable disappointment it’s sure to be.

I know I’m not in the majority with many horror fans, but I really wasn’t all to thrilled with Texas Chainsaw 3d.  It was entertaining, made money, but didn’t really bring anything new to the table for me.  There were none of those epically awesome horror movie scenes that people talk about forever.  It was just your cut and dry formulaic slasher horror.  That being said, I’m worried that this lack of horror innovation will carry on to their Day of the Dead remake.

A couple things I think we can for sure expect in the new Day of the Dead reboot.

  • These producers will for sure make it in 3d
  • The story will be weak – much like the morals of the big breasted and the beautiful that will most likely star in the movie.
  • CGI gore

A glimmer of hope comes from Producer Christa Campbell when speaking about how they plan on making the new Day of the Dead.

We want to keep it as close to the Romero version as possible,” Campbell said, “to make sure that his fans are happy. These are not going to be zombies climbing walls and doing back flips like in World War Z.

So hopefully they stick to pleasing the original fans and not butcher another classic.

We’d love to hear what you think.  Let us know in the comments below.

  1. I haven’t seen a good remake in awhile. Fingers crossed. World War Z was a huge let down 🙁 I could really use a super scary and GRUESOME zombie flick.
