Cranked Up Films has landed the U.S. distribution rights to Alive. The film is slated for limited release in theaters and on demand on September 18, 2020.
Written by Chuck McCue and Jules Vincent and directed by Rob Grant, the film stars Thomas Cocquerel (The 100), Camille Stopps (Reign) and Angus Macfadyen (Strange Angel).
The film is McCue and Vincent’s first feature, and is an incredibly good debut. You might remember Grant’s work from his film, Fake Blood. Cranked Up Films is the genre-leaning heading of Good Deed Entertainment
From the official synopsis:
In the chilling tale, a severely injured man (Cocquerel) and woman (Stopps) awaken in an abandoned sanitorium with no memory of who they are or what has happened. A sadistic caretaker (Macfadyen) discourages their questions and doles out punishments whenever they refuse to cooperate or try to escape. When they finally make their escape to freedom, they discover the answers to who they are – revealing even greater horror.
The film is a twisting, turning experiment in terror that will keep you guessing right up to the very end.
