Tis’ the season for Holiday cheer, loud drunk uncles… and zombie musicals? This December, Anna and the Apocalypse is arriving to make sure you have a newly-found tradition to add to your must-watch x-Mas films.
This zombie-musical played at Fantastic Fest 2017 and was met with nothing but pure satisfaction from the audience. It’s a great film that combines a gamut of emotions that range from the purest goofy-joy to some surprisingly effective dramatic turns.
The cast is really great and features a glowing breakout performance from its lead, Ella Hunt. There is nothing to not love about this movie and may have anti-musical horror fans changing their tune.
A zombie apocalypse threatens the sleepy town of Little Haven – at Christmas – forcing Anna and her friends to fight, slash and sing their way to survival, facing the undead in a desperate race to reach their loved ones. But they soon discover that no one is safe in this new world, and with civilization falling apart around them, the only people they can truly rely on are each other.
