Theatrical revival screenings of fan-favorite horror classics have become incredibly popular in recent years, and with that popularity has come their evolution. From a screening of Jaws on the water to the Friday the 13th films being shown outdoors, it’s a damn fun time to be a horror fan.
Taking a cue from those two events, Horror’s Hallowed Grounds in association with East West Players and Visual Communications have just announced a very special October screening of John Carpenter’s Prince of Darkness, taking place inside the actual church where it was filmed.
Located in Los Angeles, the former Union Church is now the Union Center of the Arts, and proceeds from the event will benefit the historic building. It will be hosted by Sean Clark of Horror’s Hallowed Grounds and HorrorHound Magazine, and this will be the first time the movie has ever been shown at the location.
The event, taking place on October 28th of this year, will include a courtyard reception with cash bar, as well as special guests and a live Q&A session. In addition to the film, those who attend will receive a guided tour of the specific filming locations, both on the inside and outside of the building – with photo opportunities.
More information, including ticket details, is expected very soon. Be sure to follow Horror’s Hallowed Grounds on Facebook for updates.
