Hulu’s brand new anthology series, Monsterland, is headed our way on October 2, 2020, and they dropped their first official trailer today to give us just a taste of what they have in store!

From the official synopsis for the series:

Encounters with mermaids, fallen angels, and other strange beasts drive broken people to desperate acts in Monsterland, an anthology series based on the collection of stories from Nathan Ballingrud’s North American Lake Monsters.

In the trailer, we’re introduced to a montage of clips as a woman tells someone a story about how there are infinite versions of ourselves at birth that all seemingly coalesce eventually into the person we become based on the choices we make. The story and images combine with music by composer Gustavo Santaolalla (The Last of Us Part II) to chilling effect, making this one of the best trailers we’ve seen in a long time.

This series honestly has a lot going for it considering its excellent source material and an impressive cast including Kaitlyn Dever, Jonathan Tucker, Charlie Tahan, Nicole Beharie, Hamish Linklater, Marquis Rodriguez, Bill Camp, Michael Hsu Rosen, Taylor Schilling, Roberta Colindrez, Adria Arjona, Trieu Tran, Kelly Marie Tran, Mike Colter and Adepero Oduye.

All eight episodes of the series will be available for binging on Monsterland‘s release date. Take a look at the trailer below and let us know if you’ll be watching on October 2, 2020!
