Shadow in the Cloud

Things go from weird to wild quickly in a brand new trailer for Shadow in the Cloud starring Chloe Grace Moretz. The film is jointly distributed by Vertical Entertainment and Redbox Entertainment.

Co-written by Max Landis (Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency) and Roseanne Liang (Do No Harm) who also directs the film, Shadow in the Cloud follows Maude Garrett, a pilot and mechanic, who talks her way onto a WWII bomber just as it is preparing for takeoff. The all-male crew eventually relents, but they soon find themselves in the midst of terrifying and hilarious events as the something or some things begin stalking them through the air.

The trailer is bat-s**t crazy in the best possible way with plenty of humorous, off-the-wall action sequences side by side with creepy winged bat-like demons.

Moretz is joined onscreen by Nick Robinson (Love, Simon), Beulah Koale (The Last Saint), Taylor John Smith (Hunter Killer), Callan Mulvey (Captain America: The Winter Soldier), Joe Witowski (Guns Akimbo), and Byron Coll (This Town).

Shadow in the Cloud won the coveted People’s Choice Award at the 2020 Toronto International Film Festival, and according to Entertainment Weekly, is set to hit theaters and on demand on January 1, 2021.

Check out that trailer below, and let us know if you’ll be watching Shadow in the Cloud to ring in the New Year!

New ‘The Watchers’ Trailer Adds More to the Mystery

Published

on

Although the trailer is almost double its original, there is still nothing we can glean from The Watchers other than a harbinger parrot who loves to say, “Try not to die.” But what do you expect this is a Shyamalan project, Ishana Night Shyamalan to be exact.

She is the daughter of twist-ending prince director M. Night Shyamalan who also has a movie coming out this year. And just like her father, Ishana is keeping everything mysterious in her movie trailer.

“You can’t see them, but they see everything,” is the tagline for this movie.

They tell us in the synopsis: “The film follows Mina, a 28-year-old artist, who gets stranded in an expansive, untouched forest in western Ireland. When Mina finds shelter, she unknowingly becomes trapped alongside three strangers who are watched and stalked by mysterious creatures each night.”

The Watchers opens theatrically on June 7.
