Approaching the 20 year anniversary of his film The Blair Witch Project, director Daniel Myrick is once again aiming his camera to the supernatural, this time toward the skies in the new docu-drama Skyman.

The teaser will go live on Monday, Jan. 28th at 10:30 pm Mountain Standard Time. You can watch it below.

This is timed in conjunction with the teaser’s premiere at the Slamdance Film Festival in Park City Utah, an event celebrating 25 years of showcasing independent filmmakers and their craft.

Skyman documents the story of Carl Merryweather who believes he experienced an alien encounter at 10-years-old and is now trying to reconnect with the UFO at the same location.

Is Merryweather, on the path to filming his own alien abduction? Or, is he just another crackpot looking for fame and fortune? Carl himself may not be completely sure, but he is determined to take us on a journey in search of the answer. And that journey ends at the very spot in the desert where it all began almost 30 years ago…a chance meeting with an alien he calls the “Skyman.”

“It is a sci-fi/docu-drama that has been a labor of love for quite sometime, inspired by a fascination with UFO subculture,” Myrick says on the film’s Facebook page.
