This past Sunday night was of course the Season 4 finale of The Walking Dead, which means that we once again are facing down a long stretch of time without Rick and the gang in our lives. It’s not going to be easy, that’s for damn sure, but we promise that we’ll be doing our best here on iHorror to keep you abreast of all the latest goings on in regards to the show, in an effort to make that wait full of as much Walking Dead goodness as we can possibly conjure up.

Speaking of which, this week has already seen more pretty exciting reveals and announcements, in the wake of the finale, and that’s what we’re here to talk about today.

Here’s the latest on all things Walking Dead, fellow Dead-Heads!

– Up above you’ll see the first piece of promo art for Season 5, which has come our way a whole lot sooner than we expected it to. Though Season 5 has yet to be filmed, the poster hammers home a theme that’s sure to be present throughout the season, which will see the characters doing absolutely whatever they have to do, in order to survive. Not that they haven’t always had to do that, but as we saw in the Season 4 finale, Rick in particular is more savage than ever before, and Season 5 is sure to be a brutal one.

The show is expected to kick off its fifth season in October of this year. Check out a very early sneak peek of the season above, where the cast and crew speculate on what’s next.

– Unveiled at Toy Fair earlier this year was the incredibly cool Blu-ray case for Season 4’s home video release, and Anchor Bay just announced this week that the set will be available for purchase on August 26th. This will be the Collector’s Edition version, with regular DVD and Blu-ray versions likely being released on the same date. You can pre-order the set for $129.99, over on AMC’s website. Certainly a must-own, for all fans of the show!

– And finally, McFarlane Toys has announced the figures that will comprise the sixth series of their Walking Dead TV line, though pictures haven’t yet been revealed. According to Big Bad Toy Store, where they can already be pre-ordered, the first ever action figures of Abraham Ford, Carol Peletier and Hershel Greene will debut in the series, along with the ‘Bungee Guts Zombie’ and a brand new version of Rick Grimes. No word yet on when the series will begin shipping out, but we’ll be sure to share pictures of the toys, as soon as we’ve got them.
