Bryce McGuire has picked up some major star-power for his new feature film, Bad Bloom, with Vera Farmiga signing on to take the lead.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, “The horror fairytale will portray a family living in isolation on a remote island to keep an unknown creature at bay. Their tightly-guarded reality begins to unravel when one of the children learns the monster they feared is not the monster they envisioned.”
Farmiga, of course, is an incredibly talented actress who is no stranger to genre fare having starred in multiple films and series including The Conjuring franchise, Bates Motel, Orphan and Godzilla: King of the Monsters. The actress will next be seen in The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It which is slated for release later this year after being pushed due to Covid-19 restrictions in theaters.
McGuire garnered attention with short films like The Whistler and Night Swim which captured the attention of larger studios and ultimately led to Bad Bloom. It will be interesting to see what both of these dynamic personalities bring together in the new film.
Bad Bloom is produced by Authentic Management and should begin filming in the second half of 2021. iHorror will keep you posted on this project as more news becomes available.
