Hitting theaters on August 26th, Evil Dead remake director Fede Alvarez’s new film Don’t Breathe was dubbed “The best American horror film in twenty years” by Filmmaker Magazine, which needless to say makes us incredibly eager to check it out. The elevated home invasion thriller has been praised across the board by all who have seen it, and if you’re not yet sold, this new trailer should do the trick.

Sony just released the official red band trailer for Don’t Breathe, and it’s without question one of the best horror trailers we’ve seen this year – no small task, given how incredible the first trailer for Don’t Breathe was. I guess what I’m trying to say is, whoever is cutting these trailers together deserves a huge raise, and this latest one may be his/her masterpiece.

Ready? You sure? Check it out below!

Starring Jane Levy, who played Mia in Evil Dead, Don’t Breathe centers on three desperate Detroit thieves who think they’ve found the perfect score in a blind man (Stephen Lang). Unfortunately for them, it turns out the man is an Iraq war veteran with a whole lot to protect and even more to hide. The three sneak around the house as quietly as possible in order to save their own lives.

Sam Raimi produced the film, which promises to be, like Evil Dead, another terrifying, twisted, and shocking experience that will push the envelope and scare the daylights out of even the most hardcore horror fans.
