My personal opinion is that any horror collectible is a good horror collectible, no matter how silly it may be. Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees, for example, are being turned into Mr. Potato Head toys AND garden gnomes this year, and you better believe I’ll be buying all of them. ALL. OF. THEM.

But it is Child’s Play‘s pint-sized villain Chucky who is getting this year’s most unique horror collectible, as the diminutive slasher icon has just been officially mashed together with the popular Japanese franchise Hello Kitty. Yes, Chucky has been turned into a Hello Kitty doll, and it’s honestly quite awesome.

Twitter user @marii_3198z brought this one to our attention, and in doing a little digging we’ve learned that the Chucky Hello Kitty doll will be exclusively available at Universal Studios Japan beginning next month. And it’s only sticking around for the Halloween season, going away after the seasonal celebration ends.

Wearing a battle-damaged outfit and with scars all over his face, it’s clear that Chucky’s special edition Hello Kitty doll is based on the latter sequels like Bride of Chucky and Seed of Chucky. As a cool little touch, the dolls will be housed inside of packaging that recreates the iconic ‘Good Guys’ box from the films.

Hello Chucky. Goodbye paycheck.
