True Terror with Robert Englund drops on the Travel Channel in March. There is plenty to be excited about for all of us horror hounds. For one, and most obviously, Englund hosts the show and secondly, the series will focus on tales “so frightening they must be true.”

The upcoming series features Englund telling terrifying true terror tales from the past. Each of these stories are taken from documentation such as newspapers, eyewitness account, etc… All that is already great on its own but then you throw in the voice talents of Englund and you have a very special sort of horror stew.

True Terror with Robert Englund breaks down like this:

Englund uses his ominous tones and creepy charisma to masterfully weave together a trilogy of spine-tingling tales, guided by newspaper accounts and layered with commentary from historians and experts that prove that truth is always stranger than fiction. From flying monsters to creatures in the night, to evil possessions and hauntings, these twisted tales will leave viewers wishing the stories really were only in their dreams.

The trailer has an atmosphere inline with Unsolved Mysteries, right down to the creepy music. I’m onboard with this for Robert Englund and will stay for the bizarre stories.
