‘Triggered’ Trailer Straps Suicide Bombs to A Group of 9 Friends

by Trey Hilburn III

It’s Kill or be killed in the latest trailer for Alastair Orr’s Triggered. The film looks to pick at paranoia big time, among a group of nine friends as they try to survive in a dog eat dog and dog blow dog up scenario.

The synopsis for Triggered goes like this:

Nine friends, all harboring a dark secret, go camping in the woods. After a wild night of partying, they wake up with SUICIDE BOMBS strapped to their chests, all with varying times on their countdown clocks. They decide to work out how to disarm the bombs or find help – until they discover they can ‘take’ one another’s time by killing each other.

Triggered is borrowing some elements from Saw obviously. This is definitely something that Jigsaw would revel in. But the themes running throughout this trailer are pretty on the money in terms of its  social commentary. Nobody can trust anyone, and the only way to maintain is to take each other down to gain more time. Hmmm, yep. I’d say that is pretty relevant.

The film also looks like its going to be a pretty fun time in the woods. I mean, you have people blowing up left and right with what looks like a bunch of practical effects, so yea that sounds pretty cool.
