Jim Cummings adds to his writing and directing duties to star in The Wolf of Snow Hollow. He plays a sheriff named John Marshall. He’s convinced that recent killings in his small-town Utah jurisdiction are of a man while others think it’s a blood-thirsty werewolf.
Marshall is not the most pleasant man to be around, recovering from and alcohol addiction and a recent divorce, but his temperament only adds to the conflict between him and the recalcitrant townsfolk.
Riki Lindhome (Garfunkel & Oates) adds some humor to this comedy horror movie as Marshall’s more rational partner.
The Wolf of Snow Hollow also co-stars the late Academy Award-nominee Robert Forster, in his final feature role. This is the follow-up feature to Cummings’ Thunder Road (SXSW Grand Jury Award) which he also wrote, directed, and starred in.
Here’s the trailer:
The film follows a small-town sheriff, struggling with a failed marriage, a rebellious daughter, and a lackluster department is tasked with solving a series of brutal murders that are occurring on the full moon. As he’s consumed by the hunt for the killer, he struggles to remind himself that there’s no such thing as werewolves…
