[TRAILER] ‘Death of Me’ Finds Couple Solving Their Own Found Footage

by Timothy Rawles

Although director Darren Lynn Bousman’s Spiral: From the Book of Saw keeps getting pushed back, you can see his recent work in the upcoming thriller Death of Me.

The trailer for this mind-twisting movie released today and it looks to be a hearty supernatural whodunit wrapped in a bloody “found-footage” mystery. The footage in this case being on the characters’ own camera.

Here’s the synopsis followed by the trailer:

Vacationing on an island off the coast of Thailand, Christine (Maggie Q) and Neil Oliver (Luke Hemsworth) awake hungover and with no memory of the previous night. They find footage on Neil’s camera, and watch, horrified, as Neil appears to murder Christine. With twenty-four hours until the next ferry and a typhoon threatening the island, Christine and Neil attempt to reconstruct the night’s events—and are snared in a web of mystery, black magic, and murder.

Death of Me will be available in theaters, On Demand and Digital on October 2, 2020
