Extremity (2018), courtesy Epic Pictures Group.

Extremity is a 2018 movie about a girl who signs up for an extreme haunted house experience in order to confront the demons of her past.  She has no idea just how extreme the haunt will be, however, or if she’ll even make it through the experience alive.

Everyone has heard about these grueling, torturous extreme haunts, and Extremity exploits the fear that surrounds that enigmatic phenomenon.  For those who don’t have the guts to go through it yourself, Extremity may provide a bit of a glimpse into the trend.  Have a look at Extremity here at TubiTV.

The Fifth Element (1997), courtesy Sony Pictures Entertainment.

The Fifth Element

The Fifth Element takes place on a future version of Earth that is constantly threatened by intergalactic evil.  A cab driver encounters a woman who is a clone of a being that can protect the Earth, and the cabbie agrees to help her with her quest while keeping her safe from the agents who are pursuing her.

Aesthetically, this 1997 sci-fi epic is part Blade Runner and part Total Recall.  Bruce Willis stars as the cabbie, Milla Jovovich as the savior, and Gary Oldman, Ian Holm, Chris Tucker, Luke Perry, and Brion James show up in support.  Check out The Fifth Element here at Crackle.

The Chamber (2016), courtesy Cinedigm.

The Chamber

The Chamber is about three aquatic soldiers and a submarine pilot who are sent on a classified recovery mission off the coast of North Korea.  Their craft gets trapped underwater, and the routine expedition becomes a claustrophobic fight for survival.

This economic little 2016 thriller is incredibly tense and anxious.  It may not seem like much of a premise for a horror movie, but it will raise the blood pressure of anyone who is frightened by small, closed-in spaces.  Get trapped in The Chamber here at Popcornflix.

Conduct Unbecoming (1975), courtesy Allied Artists Pictures

Conduct Unbecoming

Conduct Unbecoming is a 1975 mystery about a British soldier in colonial India who is accused of assaulting the widow of a respected officer.  Another officer must clear the accused’s name by uncovering the identity of the real attacker.

More of a mystery than a horror flick, Conduct Unbecoming is a taught and exciting thriller.  The knockout cast includes Michael York, Susannah York, Richard Attenborough, Stacy Keach, and Christopher Plummer.  Catch Conduct Unbecoming here at ShoutFactoryTV.

Surviving the Game (1994), courtesy New Line Cinema.

Surviving the Game

With all of the stink about the shelving of The Hunt (even as the similarly plotted Ready or Not and Satanic Panic are released), it’s time to take a look at another The Most Dangerous Game adaptation, Surviving the Game.  This 1994 version of the story involves a guide who is recruited to take a party of hunters into the mountains, unaware that once they get there, he will be their new prey.

This action-packed slaughterfest stars the late Rutger Hauer along with Ice-T, Charles S. Dutton, Gary Busey, and F. Murray Abraham.  It was also directed by Ernest Dickerson.  Survive Surviving the Game here at Vudu.
