Hey Tightwads! It’s that time of the week again…time for another round of free movies. So come and get ‘em…
Train to Busan
Train to Busan is about a father who is travelling by train to take his daughter to her mother’s place for her birthday. During their ride, the zombie apocalypse hits, trapping them and the rest of the passengers aboard the train…to Busan!
This 2016 South Korean gem is one of the bright spots in the desolate landscape of current zombie movies. It’s kind of a modern classic, actually. Even if you’re sick to death of zombies, you might be into this class and family allegory. Give Train to Busan a watch here at TubiTV.
Artik is a 2019 movie about a serial killer who is teaching his son how to also be a serial killer. The son meets a man who discovers their secret, and the more the new friend learns, the more danger he puts himself – and the boy – in.
Artik is one of those brutal grindhouse horror movies that will please fans of comic books just as much as it pleases horror freaks. It’s currently got a 4.3 IMDB score, but sits at 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, so it’s a bit polarizing. Decide what you think about Artik for yourself here at Crackle.
Audition is about a Japanese widower who decides to cure his loneliness by jumping back into the dating pool. His film producer friend rounds up some young women for him to meet under the guise of auditioning them for a movie, and he meets one that he likes. But she’s not the woman he thinks she is…
Directed by Takashi Miike, this 1999 Japanese flick is legendary for its depictions of brutal torture. But that’s a bit of a spoiler. If you like your horror painful and controversial, Audition may be right up your alley. Find out here at TubiTV.
All I See is You
All I See is You is about a blind woman who, thanks to an experimental procedure, regains her sight. Her husband is threatened by her newfound independence, and let’s just say her new sight shows her things that she is probably better off not seeing.
This 2016 mystery thriller is a tight and suspenseful ride. Marc Forster directs, and the cast includes Blake Lively as the blind woman and Jason Clarke as her jealous husband. Check out All I See is You here at IMDB TV.
Status: Unknown is about a pair of old high school friends who reconnect with a third friend at a reunion. After some strange social media posts from their friend, the two decide to pay her a visit and find out if she’s okay. Spoiler alert: she’s not.
This 2014 made-for-TV movie is a Lifetime Network joint, so it’s a bunch of that tame exploitational schlock. It’s still packs a fun punch, though. If you need more convincing, scream queen Brea Grant is in it. Catch Status: Unknown here at Vudu.
