The Houses October Built

A few weeks back, we brought you The Houses October Built 2.  We’re going in reverse, because this week we’ve got 2014’s The Houses October Built.  Just treat it as a prequel, if you will.

The Houses October Built features the same group of thrill seekers as the second movie as they search for the world’s scariest haunt.  And they find it.  Or, to be more precise, it finds them.  Check out The Houses October Built here at TubiTV.

The Clearing (2020), courtesy Crackle.

The Clearing

The Clearing is about a father and daughter who, while camping in the woods, find themselves in the middle of a zombie apocalypse.  The daughter runs off, and the father must use all of his cunning and wit to track her down and keep her safe.  From zombies.

A 2020 Crackle original, The Clearing is about as good as zombie movies get these days.  It’s sort of like Dawn of the Dead meets The Battery.  If that sounds good to you, and if you’re still interested in zombies, catch The Clearing here at Crackle.

The Doll (2017), courtesy Gravitas Ventures.

The Doll

The Doll is about two friends who, after one of them gets dumped by his girlfriend, put in a call for a professional escort.  They woman who shows up is a ravaging beauty – but she’s not quite what she appears to be.

This 2017 sci-fi shocker is the debut feature of internet-famous personality Valeria Lukyanova, aka “The Real-Life Barbie Doll.”  And that pretty much telegraphs exactly what her deal is in the movie.  Keep an eye out for Ron Jeremy in there as well.  If you’re still curious, you can find The Doll here at Vudu.

Cold (2016), courtesy Go90.

Cold

Cold is about a young woman who learns that her father is in prison for murdering her mother.  She goes on a quest to her hometown where she discovers a string of brutal crimes that also may be linked to her family.  And her hometown is in Canada, so she’s cold a lot.

This is a weird one.  Cold is classified as a movie, has a running time of about 90 minutes, and is its own self-contained story, but it seems to have been culled together from parts of the 2016 television series of the same name.  The lead is played by up-and-coming scream queen Annalise Basso.  See Cold here at TubiTV.

Beyond the Reach (2014), courtesy Roadside Attractions/Lionsgate.

Beyond the Reach

Beyond the Reach is a 2014 movie about a wealthy hunter who hires a guide to take him out into the Mojave Desert.  After an incident that results in an accidental death, the hunter tries to bribe the guide into keeping his mouth shut.  The guide is more scrupulous than the hunter, though, and the young man soon finds that he has himself become the hunted.

Beyond the Reach is a survival thriller that takes its hook from The Most Dangerous Game.  Michael Douglas plays the rich sportsman, and Jeremy Irvine portrays his capable and honorable guide.  Have a look at Beyond the Reach here at IMDB TV.
