Hey Tightwads! It’s that time of the week again! It’s time for free movies from iHorror. And here they are…
Although it really needs no introduction, NIghtbreed is a 1990 Clive Barker movie about a young man who believes that he is a monster, so he finds a place called Midian where the monsters live with the intent of hiding out there with his own kind. But he and the monsters soon find themselves wrapped up in a world of serial killers, trigger happy policemen, and vigilante rednecks who all want to see them suffer.
This is the recently polished up Directors Cut of the film, so even if you’ve seen Nightbreed, you may not have ever seen it like this. Nightbreed is waiting for you here at Vudu.
Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension
Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension is about a family that finds a box full of video tapes along with a strange camera in their house. The tapes contain footage of two little girls – Katie and Kristi from the other Paranormal Activity movies – practicing psychic phenomenon with their grandmother and a strange older man. Upon further examination of the tapes, the family suspects that the girls are aware of the people who are watching them years later on the tapes. Oh, and the camera? It’s a tricky spirit photography camera that captures all sorts of weird supernatural stuff.
This 2015 movie is the sixth and final (or is it?) flick in the Paranormal Activity series (so far), and of course, like the rest of the PA movies, it’s found footage, but it’s also in 3D (or was in theaters), so the spirit photography sections are remarkably trippy. Basically, if you’ve seen any of the other PA movies, you know what you’re in for with this one. If you like the rest, check out Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension here at Popcornflix.
Cooties is about an elementary school that ends up with a bad bunch of chicken nuggets which turns the kids into malicious zombies. A group of teachers have to fight their way out to survive the epidemic.
This 2014 movie is good for both laughs and scares. Its opening scene will also put you off chicken nuggets for a while. The awesome cast includes Elijah Wood (who also produced it through his SpectreVision company), Leigh Whannell (who helped write the screenplay), Alison Pill, Rainn Wilson, Jack McBrayer, and Jorge Garcia. Catch Cooties right here at TubiTV.
Also from 2014, Spring is about a young American man who takes off to Italy in order to escape the problems of his life. He meets a young woman, and things seem to be going well with their blossoming romance. Well, at least, until he learns of her dark secret.
A morbid romance, Spring is one of those slow-burn, meditative movies that has just enough creepy scenes sprinkled throughout to keep the viewer from losing interest. This beautiful movie was written and directed by Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, the same guys behind Resolution and The Endless. Catch Spring here, also at TubiTV.
The Wraith is about a gang of drag racers that terrorizes a desert community. When they kill a young man, a mysterious entity shows up and methodically comes after the members of the gang one by one, taking revenge in brutal ways.
This 1986 action/romance/horror flick is a great gateway horror movie for the younger fans. Charlie Sheen plays the titular mysterious wraith, Sherilyn Fenn plays the dead boy’s grieving girlfriend, and Nick Cassavetes plays the tough guy leader of the gang. Randy Quaid and Clint Howard also pop in for some fun. Catch up with The Wraith here at IMDB TV.
