Hey Tightwads! Are you ready for this week’s batch of free movies? If your answer was anything but “yes,” try again! If it was “yes,” well, here they are!
Basic Instinct is Paul Verhoeven’s 1992 mystery thriller about a police detective with a checkered past who is investigating the murder of a rock star. The main suspect is the rock star’s girlfriend, and as the detective becomes intimately involved with her, the bodies continue to pile up.
This sexually morbid blockbuster stars Michael Douglas as the detective and Sharon Stone as the suspect. It’s classic Verhoeven, so there’s a parodic side to the drama. It’s also a classic of nineties cinema, so if you haven’t seen it, what are you waiting for? Basic Instinct is right here at Crackle.
Torment is a twisted movie from 2013 about two parents who take their son up to their secluded vacation home. The boy goes missing, and while looking for him, the couple discovers that their house is under siege by a cult that wears stuffed animal heads as masks.
What seems like a typical home invasion slasher movie is made creepier by the toy bunny, mouse, rabbit, and pig masks of the intruders. If that doesn’t sway you, it also stars the lovely scream queen Katharine Isabelle as the stepmom. So go watch Torment right here at TubiTV.
Slices is a cool little anthology movie that features an insomniac channel surfing at night coming across five tales of vampires, zombies, and psychopaths. As he goes on, he begins to question his own sanity.
This 2008 offering is a bit like a low-rent Creepshow. There are no big names involved, just a handful of creative stories. Each segment is done by a different director, so the styles are all over the place, but it’s consistent with the wraparound of watching late night TV. Check out Slices here at Viewster.
Oh, hell yeah! Miami Connection is about a rock band called Dragon Sound that moonlights as a team of martial artists that decides to rid Miami of a gang of drug-dealing ninjas. Read that sentence again.
Miami Connection is the brainchild of writer, director, producer, and star Y.K. Kim. It’s not really a horror movie, but this lost 1987 gem is sure to delight. If the awesome fight scenes don’t win you over, the killer soundtrack will. Get a load of Miami Connection here at Vudu.
Made way back in 1948, The Creeper is about a team of scientists who are experimenting with a serum derived from cats in the West Indies. One of them tests the formula on a man, turning him into a catlike killer.
This one feels like a cross between a classic Universal movie and a Val Lewton RKO Pictures flick. It’s not exactly first rate, but it’s creepy enough to satisfy those who enjoy movies from the forties. Catch The Creeper here at Daily Motion.
