Inspired by an urban legend from the 1920s, Alligator is about a baby pet alligator that is flushed down the toilet when it is no longer wanted. In the sewers, it feeds on runaway lab rats which have been injected with a growth steroid and grows to an enormous size. Predictably, the alligator breaks out of the sewers and wreaks havoc on the streets of Chicago. The 1980 creature feature was directed by Lewis Teague from a screenplay by John Sayles, and stars the hard-boiled Robert Forster. Alligator is absolutely worth a watch for fans of monster movies, so if that’s you, you can find it here at FreeMoviesCinema.
