Actor Thomas Jane has been a few of Stephen King’s works including 1922 and The Mist. He also has a history in comics as Frank Castle’s The Punisher. In addition, Jane has released a couple of comic books in the past and he looks to be adding to that list with his latest, Lycan.
He is partnering up with both Mike Carey and David James Kelly on Lycan. Carey is is known for his work on Lucifer.
The synopsis for Lycan goes like this:
“Takes place in 1777 and centers on a hardened band of international big game hunters returning from Africa when they are shipwrecked off a small British island. In order to earn supplies repair their ship, the men are tasked by Lord Ludgate, ruler of the island, to find the beast that has been eating his subjects — and destroy it.”
“I am beyond excited to be partnering with AfterShock Comics to develop the universe of Lycan. It’s a story I’ve been wanting to tell for a long time and I’m very lucky to have a great team of creators with David and Mike to bring it to life through the upcoming comic book series.” Jane told The Hollywood Reporter.
Prior to Lycan Jane created both Alien Pig Farm and Bad Planet. Lycan is set to release with Aftershock in 2022 for an initial six-issue run.
