Halloween is best known for its treats and many companies are introducing scary sounding items to their product line, but none can make the unique claim Burger King is.
Starting on Oct. 22, the fast-food chain will introduce their latest menu addition called the Nightmare King and it promises to give you just that, nightmares. Literally.
The chilling cheeseburger is made with a quarter pound of beef, chicken filet, American cheese, bacon, mayonnaise, and onion all served on a green sesame-seed bun.
The food company is making the gimmick official saying they tested it on 100 people over 10 nights which resulted in an increase in actual nightmares. All of this has even been confirmed by a doctor.
“According to previous studies, 4 percent of the population experiences nightmares in any given night,” said Dr. Jose Gabriel Medina, the study’s lead doctor, in a statement. “But, after eating the Nightmare King, the data obtained from the study indicated that the incidence of nightmares increased by 3.5 times.”
Burger King loves the season, in 2015 they introduced the Halloween Whopper made with a pitch black bun.
The Nightmare King will be added to menus on Oct. 22 and be available through Nov. 1.
