Creator of The Walking Dead, Robert Kirkman is a funny dude. He is also a pretty sarcastic dude. But, we are really wondering what the truth is in one of his latest Tweets.
In a response to a fan asking about what caused the Walking Dead outbreak, Kirkman finally and simply responds with, “Space Spore.”

The fan that responded with this follow up Tweet is pretty on the money.
He is either 100% trolling or 100% serious. Hint: Its always both.

That is because, we don’t know if Kirkman is joking here or not. It is also possible that Kirman is just paying homage to Romero’s Night of the Living Dead and the possibility of returning space spores causing that entire fiasco.
Either way, it does pair nicely with Kirkman’s comments in interviews over the years that point to “a crazy sci-fi thing that would make the story all that much weirder.”
Personally, I don’t want to know. Exploring the mysteries behind things like this tends to be boring. The curiosity and the weird stuff the fans minds think up are a thousand times more interesting. Space spores is a fun nod, but I’m not buying it and that’s primarily because, I don’t want to. The origin would be just as boring as finding a cure.
What do you guys think? Do you think it could have all been caused by this “Space spore”? Let us know in the comments section.
