The Train to Busan successor, Peninsula is still alive and on its way to our eyeballs. Despite, the world’s film industry being in the midst of a sever snag, we are receiving trickles of the rabid zombie follow-up.
Today, we see the first full length trailer for Peninsula and man does it look action-packed. We reported earlier this year that the follow-up is set in the same universe. However, it does not continue any character narrative from Train to Busan. It also, has twice the budget under its belt.
The synopsis goes like this:
Peninsula takes place four years after the outbreak of zombies that were chasing protagonists on a train speeding south to Busan. The Korean peninsula is devastated and Jung-seok, a former soldier who has managed to escape overseas, is given a mission to go back and unexpectedly meets up with survivors.
It’s clear to see the use of that larger budget in the trailer. I mean, there are tons of guns and explosions and it all looks very cool. Hopefully, Peninsula maintains the same sort of commentary and emotion that its predecessor had.
