Really swell reports out of Deadline if you happen to be a fan of Texas, or chainsaws, or massacres or even all three. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is being rebooted by Legendary Pictures via Rodo Sayagues and Fede Alvarez’s Bad Hombre Films.

Chris Thomas Devlin is set to write the reboot for The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. No details are yet available that sheds light on what direction this film will take, but we can assume there will be cannibals and maybe even a Leatherface for good measure.

Alvarez’s past films include the Evil Dead reboot and the tense thriller Don’t Breathe.
