‘The Simpsons’ Airs First Ever “Thanksgiving of Horror” Special Tonight!

The Simpsons: you know it, you love it (or at least probably loved it at some point), and you probably wonder if it’ll ever end. On that last one, we still don’t know, although its most recent renewal deal guaranteed at 32 full seasons of animated craziness.

Now, for tonight, and The Simpsons’ latest episode of season 31. Since season 2, The Simpsons has been airing annual Halloween specials called “Treehouse of Horror,” which feature three one-off wild stories that aren’t connected to the main show continuity.

As reported by EW, tonight’s Simpsons episode marks the first “Thanksgiving of Horror” special, featuring three Thanksgiving-themed stories. The first story casts the Simpson family as innocent turkeys terrorized by pilgrims at the first Thanksgiving in 1621.

The second story features the voice of Black Mirror creator Charlie Brooker in a send-up of the popular Black Mirror season 3 episode “Nosedive,” which concerned an all-encompassing social media app that basically determined a person’s standing in life.

The third story is set at humanity’s last Thanksgiving, as the occupants of a spaceship make their escape from a dying Earth. The Simpsons “Thanksgiving of Horror” airs tonight at 8pm EST on your local FOX station, and will stream on Hulu tomorow.
