Fans of deep-dive true crime podcasts, this one’s for you. The Lost Kids, a new podcast from UCP Audio, a division of Universal Content Productions, the television studio which produced The Act is out today!
The podcast is hosted by journalist Josh Bloch, the same journalist who hosted Uncover: Escaping NXVIM.
The following description comes from a press release we received earlier today:
The Lost Kids starts by profiling missing teen Daniel Yuen after he is enrolled in CEDU Academy, a therapeutic boarding school and behavior modification program in the San Bernardino Mountains of Southern California – the last place he was seen. He was 16 years old when he disappeared in 2004, leaving his family still wondering what happened to their son. What starts as an investigation into one missing CEDU resident, opens into an exposé of the profitable “troubled teen” industry.
Daniel is only one of many who reportedly disappeared from CEDU over the years and Bloch along with the team behind The Lost Kids will dig deep into just what may have gone on at the controversial campus.
The Lost Kids will be followed by the studio with another true crime podcast titled House of Prayer soon. They are also creating scripted content with The End Up from Esmail Corp.
