We can’t wait for the next installment of Blumhouse’s The Purge. The latest in the series that has spawned multiple films and even a TV show is coming back to the big screen very soon. USA Today shared an image that reveals a very badass looking cowboy dressed all in black and we couldn’t be more excited.
The Purge series has always highlighted the zenith of masks. Each year that a Purge film is released it blazes a trail for Halloween mask sales and this image is sure to turn some Halloween heads. The cowboy featured looks like Black Skull from Batman.
Best of all, these cowboys are holding it down in Texas according to the description in USA Today. “After the annual Purge is abolished a group of masked outlaw Purgers in Texas refuse to give up the fight in director Everardo Gout‘s fifth and final movie in the dystopian horror franchise.”
I don’t know about you guys but I’m ready for a Purge film. I feel like the world in general is ready for a Purge film. A film that takes all the bullshit from the last election and a lot of the claims that were made and puts the screws to them. It should be a fun time back at the movies.
This Purge entry is directed by Everardo Gout and written and co-produced by James DeMonaco. It stars Ana de la Reguera, Josh Lucas, Tenoch Huerta, Leven Rambin, Will Patton, and Cassidy Freeman.
The Forever Purge releases into theaters beginning July 2.
