We’re exactly two months out from the release of Doctor Sleep, the highly-anticipated sequel to Stephen King’s novel The Shining and Warner Brothers has dropped the final trailer to celebrate.
Set decades after the original novel, Doctor Sleep finds Dan “Danny” Torrance (Ewen McGregor) dealing with the ghosts of his past while confronting an entirely new threat called The True Knot, a cult-like group led by a mysterious woman named Rose the Hat (Rebecca Ferguson) by feeding on children with similar gifts to his own.
The True Knot has set their sites on a powerful girl named Abra Stone (Kyliegh Curran) and Dan will do whatever it takes to keep her alive.
Mike Flanagan (The Haunting of Hill House) wrote and directed the film based on King’s novel of the same name, and from the looks of this trailer, he has managed to translate the terrifying world to screen with all the intensity that King gave the novel.
Doctor Sleep hit bookstores 36 years after The Shining to predominantly positive reviews from fans and critics alike, and we’re looking forward to seeing how it fares on the big screen!
Check out that trailer below and mark your calendars to see Doctor Sleep on November 8, 2019!
