The Craft

British actor Nicholas Galitzine has joined the cast of the Blumhouse/Columbia Pictures reboot of The Craft according to Deadline.

Written and directed by Zoe Lister-Jones (Consumed), the film will once again tell the story of a girl who transfers to a new school only to find out that her new friends are a coven of witches and they really want her to join.

The film is based on the 1996 film by the same name. The Craft was directed by Andrew Fleming (Ideal Home) who will serve as an executive producer on the reboot alongside Lister-Jones.

There is no word yet on exactly who Galitzine will play–details about the exact plotting of the new version have been noticeably scarce–but he definitely has heartthrob written all over him and we could easily see him taking on the Chris Hooker-type character that Skeet Ulrich (Scream) played in the original film.

Galitzine made his feature debut in 2014’s The Beat Beneath My Feet, and has since appeared in Handsome DevilThe Watcher in the Woods (2017), and the Netflix series Chambers opposite Uma Thurman, Tony Goldwyn, and Sivan Alyra Rose.

All eyes are on this reboot, especially those fans of the original, and iHorror will keep you in the loop as more details become available!
