The Taking of Deborah Logan was easily one of the most talked about films of 2014. Its bold imagery and intelligent storytelling was terrifying and it captured viewers who turned it into a viral sensation.

Unfortunately, in the U.S., it only received distribution on Netflix which lasted until 2016, and since that time it’s become more and more difficult to find a copy of the film. Thanks to a new deal with Terror Films, however, fans will be seeing a lot more of Deborah Logan in the future.

Written by Adam Robitel and Gavin Heffernan with Robitel also serving as director, The Taking of Deborah Logan concerns a medical student making a documentary about the long term effects of Alzheimer’s both on the patient and the caregivers.

She and her crew find much more than they bargained for when they enter the home of Deborah Logan, however, and what starts out as a typical case study soon turns to terror as they discover that Alzheimer’s might be the least of this family’s concerns.

The Taking of Deborah Logan
Terror Films released a newly designed poster for their upcoming re-release of The Taking of Deborah Logan.

The film boasted a talented cast of actors including long-time All My Children star Jill Larson in the title role and Anne Ramsay (A League of Their Own) as her daughter, Sarah Logan.

It was recently announced that the film would be making its debut on Shudder later this month. That announcement garnered a lot of excitement among horror fans and other filmmakers including Guillermo del Toro who took to Twitter to share the news about the film’s inclusion.

It appears that Terror Films will take the film to more streaming services in the coming weeks including iTunes, Amazon, Roku, VUDU, TUBI TV, and Google Play though they have not issued specific dates for those platforms as of yet.

“My partner Jim Klock, myself and our entire team are thrilled to have been trusted by the producers to reintroduce The Taking of Deborah Logan to the horror fans,” Terror Films president Joe Dain said in a press release issued this morning. “It’s a fantastic film that we believe will be incredibly well received by the horror community and beyond.”

iHorror will keep you posted on all the latest news about this re-release at details become available. In the meantime, you can visit the Terror Films official website and follow The Taking of Deborah Logan on the film’s official Facebook page.
