It’s of course horror movies that are responsible for invading our nightmares with the most terrifying pop culture characters of all time, though many non-horror movies have similarly caused us all to lose sleep. Perhaps none more than the nefarious flying monkeys from The Wizard of Oz.

Ranking right up there with scary clowns, the winged monkeys from the 1939 classic continue to horrify viewers to this day, so I suppose it was only natural that they’d eventually fly into Mezco’s Living Dead Dolls collection – a line that is (mostly) reserved for monsters and horror icons.

Joining the likes of Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, and Michael Myers, three of Oz‘s flying monkeys crash land into the Living Dead Dolls line early next year, exclusive to online shop Entertainment Earth. Arriving in January, the set includes not one, not two, but THREE of the beasts.

Per the toy website, “Oz would not be Oz without the Wicked Witch’s flying monkeys, and there’s no place like Oz for the Living Dead Dolls. These death-defying, death-dealing green simians with yellow jackets measure a bone chilling 3-inches tall and arrive in a special display box.”

Head over to Entertainment Earth to pre-order your monkeys before they fly away!
