The 2017 sleeper hit Terrifier is getting a sequel and writer/director Damien Leone has confirmed on social media that the script is finally done.

Not to toot his own horn, but he adds that the second chapter is “&%$#!*@ INSANE!”

Terrifier was one of those movies that became more successful because horror fans gave it a positive word-of-mouth.

The original follows three women who are being stalked by a clown on Halloween night.

Brutal and bloody, Terrifier created one of the most memorable movie monsters in recent history in its titular Art the Clown who made his first appearance in 2013’s All Hallows’ Eve.

So, of course, he’s returning and Leone suggests that “he’s badder than ever!”

Leone cannot confirm the exact details of pre-production at the moment, but he promises fans more news is upcoming.

“Unfortunately, this is the only confirmation I can give right now but rest assured we’re working to bring you Terrifier 2 as soon as possible and we’re very excited to show you where Art’s diabolical journey goes from here!”
