When it comes to badass killer robots, there are few as cool as terminators. Whether it be Arnold Schwarzenegger’s classic T-800 model, the skinless cyborgs that roam Skynet’s dystopian future, or Robert Patrick’s terrifying T-1000, all terminators are awesome.
Unfortunately, the actual Terminator movie franchise has had its ups and downs. While some fans – including myself – appreciate Terminator 3 for its breathtaking action scenes and surprising ending, most didn’t care for either Terminator: Salvation or Terminator: Genisys.
That’s why when series creator James Cameron announced that he would return to produce and creatively guide the sixth Terminator installment, fans far and wide rejoiced. Well, those excited fans will now have to wait a while longer for Terminator 6 to arrive.
According to Deadline, the latest Terminator entry has been pushed back from its previously scheduled July 26th, 2019 release date to a new date of November 22nd, 2019. The delay reportedly has nothing to do with returning star Schwarzenegger’s recent heart surgery.
In addition to being James Cameron’s big return to the franchise he created, the still not officially titled Terminator 6 will be directed by Deadpool helmer Tim Miller, and also feature Linda Hamilton reprising the role of Sarah Connor for the first time since Terminator 2.
