Teletubbies in Black & White Are Scarier Than Any Horror Movie

by admin

Human beings have way too much free time on their hands, and we have that to thank for the internet being such a bizarre place to hang out. The things people come up with never cease to amaze us here at the iHorror offices, and we’ve got a truly strange treat for you today.

Remember the Teletubbies? They were the stars of a same-named children’s TV series that aired from 1997 to 2001, and were depicted as giant toddlers of alien origin, clad in multi-colored jumpsuits. Totally weird, but the shit kids watch has always been totally weird.

Earlier this week, a man by the name of Mark Holland for whatever reason decided to take a picture of the Teletubbies and remove all the color from it, noting that the characters took on a sinister quality when viewed in black & white. That’s the image above, which is decidedly creepy.

After posting the photo, several people on Twitter noted that the image looked like a still from Joy Division’s music video for their song ‘Atmosphere,’ and it wasn’t long before someone picked up on that idea and ran with it – turning the black & white image into a haunting music video.

It was Christopher G. Brown who cut together the video, playing the song over black & white footage from Teletubbies. The results, well, they’re the stuff nightmares are made of. Enjoy.
