It puts the raptor in its cage or else it gets the hose again! Buffalo Bill vs. Owen’s ‘clever girl’ Blue?! Worthiest of adversaries, and would make a damn fine film in its own right. Ok, that won’t ever happen but I can fantasize about Bill trying to charm Blue with his sweet dance skills, and then the Beta raptor unleashing her fury on Bill’s skin coats.
Putting those weird visuals aside, actor Ted Levine whose claim to horror fame was the moisturizing endorsing serial killer, Buffalo Bill from Silence of the Lambs back in 1990, is indeed slated to join the cast of Jurassic World 2! In an exclusive with Variety, Levine has rounded out the last of casting news along with newly announced cast members Rafe Spall, Toby Jones, and Justice Smith to join Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard in the prehestoric fight of a lifetime.
As we announced pretty recently here on iHorror, director J.A. Bayona teased an image for the upcoming film in preparation for filming to begin sometime this month. Shoot locations are scheduled for both the Hawaiian Islands, South Wales, and more recently rumored in parts of London as well.
While major plot lines are being kept under wraps, all we know for now is that the sequel is a direct follow-up from the World film in the Jurassic Park series, with plans of a trilogy to round out this incredible franchise. We also got word via Jurassic Outpost, that Neal Scanlan, known for his work in the ‘Star Wars Creature Shop’, will be heading the animatronics team in Jurassic World 2. Reports have stated that the film will rely more heavily on “monster magic” rather than being 100% CGI.
Jurassic World 2 is charging into theaters next year, June 22, 2018. In the meantime, let’s channel our inner Bill and swing our hips on the heels of this glorious casting news!
