We’re traveling to another dimension with the teaser for Jordan Peele’s The Twilight Zone reboot hitting the internet! An updated version of the black and white hypnotic intro is back in all its glory, with Peele being confirmed as the new host of the rejuvenated series. Peele’s voice-over can be heard during the teaser, as he takes the reigns from previous creator and host of the original series Rod Serling. The teaser also solidifies a 2019 release date.
The Twilight Zone is being produced by CBS Television Studios with Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions and Simon Kinberg’s Genre Films. Greg Yaitanes will be overseeing the continuity of the anthology series. The reboot will be airing on the CBS All Access streaming service.
Peele’s previous statements to Variety demonstrate he not only wants to stay true to the original series, but thinks there are many important modern stories The Twilight Zone could tell. The executive producers for the series include Jordan Peele, Simon Kinberg, Marco Ramirez, Win Rosenfeld, and Audrey Chon. Peele, Kinberg, and Ramirez are said to be helming the pilot episode.
