Could the apocalypse spell the end of the American Horror Story universe?
Nah… Ryan Murphy’s horror anthology phenomenon has already been picked up for a 10th season!
But if the teaser tells us anything; the gruesome terror and unforgiving madness is looking to be elevated to unprecedented levels.
I’ve always found American Horror Story’s trailers or previews to be more interesting (and tolerable) then the show itself: I shut off Murder House and Coven because I found the film making to be erratic and nearly unwatchable–so there’s a good chance I won’t be watching this season.
But, I absolutely adore Roanoke–the haunted house story format improved my viewing experience exponentially!
Fan favorites Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, and Emma Roberts are set to return and will appear alongside Cult cast members Billy Eichner, Adina Porter, Leslie Grossman, Billie Lourd, and Cheyenne Jackson.
Apocalypse will be a crossover of Murder House and Coven with Jessica Lange reprising her role as Constance Langdon of Murder House, while Emma Roberts is confirmed to return as Madison Montgomery (despite dying twice in Coven).
Cody Fern (American Crime Story: Versace) is set to play adult Michael Langdon: demon-spawn/Anti-Christ and potential primary antagonist.
Sarah Paulson is set to play at least three characters: Cordelia Foxx (Coven) and Billie Dean Howard (Murder House, Hotel) and Venable (Apocalypse) perhaps many more.
Joan Collins will apparently also appear in Apocalypse, but her character and the extent of her role remains under lock & key.
American Horror Story: Apocalypse will air on September 12th, 2018.
