Quentin Tarantino’s supposedly penultimate feature film has just got a macabre release date.
Deadline reports that Tarantino’s as-yet-to-be-titled picture based on the cult leader Charles Manson and his band of murderous followers will hit theaters on August 9, 2019.
That also happens to be the 50th anniversary of the stabbing death of pregnant Sharon Tate. Manson’s family members killed Tate and her friends at Manson’s behest in 1969.
The killer by proxy himself died last month.
Tarantino hopes that Margot Robbie will portray Tate in the film. Tom Cruise and Leonardo DiCaprio have also shown interest in the project.
