Tales from the Hood 3 is on the way, you guys. That in itself is good news. Today we found out that there are two additional reasons to be excited about that. Tony Todd will star and this chapter of the anthology is listed as rated R by the MPAA.
Original anthology team, Rusty Cundieff and Darin Scott once again direct for Universal Pictures. There is not an official synopsis out at the moment but we do know that Tony Todd, Lynn Whitfield, and Cooper Huckabee will assist in telling this set of stories.
The first Tales From the Hood relesaed back in 1995. The sequel didn’t come out until 2018.
Tales From the Hood’s official synopsis went like this:
A funeral director tells four strange tales of horror with an African American focus to three drug dealers he traps in his place of business.
It’s pretty exciting that Scott and Cundieff didn’t wait too long to bring us this third chapter. No word on who will act as the story teller this time around but we are hoping that its going to be Todd. The first time around Clarence Williams III gave the story teller life as Mr. Simms. The second time around Keith David stepped into the shoes of Portifoy Simms.
Tales From the Hood 3 is Rated R for horror violence, disturbing images, sexual content, and language including racist epithets.
